August Sketch Challenge from SSInk

Happy Monday friends! I am so excited to bring you another weekly challenge from my stampin’ pals over at SSInk. This week we have a very fun sketch challenge for you.

#SSINKCS36

Here is my card

SSInkSC36

I especially love sketch challenge because for me designing a layout can be the most challenging part of putting a card together. When the layout is in front of me, it is easier to choose stamps that fit and then run with it. I hope that you will play along with us this week! You can link up to your blog or add it to our Facebook group.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I would love to here from you so please leave me a comment and be sure to subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post!

Monday Color Challenge

It’s Monday! That means it is time for another weekly challenge with the great team at SSInk. This week we are playing with these fun colors!

SSInk Aug Color Block

At first, I wasn’t really sure about these but once I got working with them, I fell in love! Here is my card

SSInk1Aug

This was the first time I have used the flowers from Jar of Love. I love how easy it was to cut them out with the big shot using the coordinating framelits. These colors are perfect for the time of year here in Idaho. The colors are getting richer and deeper while the dog days of summer are very much upon on.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope that you are inspired to play along with us this week and I would love to know what you think about my project! Be sure to subscribe to my site while you are here so that you never miss another post!

June Inspiration Challenge from SSInkspiration

Summer is in full swing here in Idaho and this week’s inspiration challenge at SSInk is a perfect fit!

 #SSINKIC34-June

This is my card – using my favorite new set from the new catalog –

June SSINK IC34

I have only made a couple of projects with this set but I think it’s so fun and offers so much variety. The colors are pure summer and are something I would not have normally put together. I love them and will be using them again soon!

CASE the designer…..Stampin’ Royalty Style

This week over at Stampin’ Royalty the challenge is to CASE the designer! Choose a card that one of them has made and CASE the color combination that they used.

For me, it was pretty easy to choose what to CASE. My dear friend Carrie Rhoades is a designer and she used some of my favorite colors! Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Crumb Cake.

SR334 Card

I knew the centerpiece of my design was going to be the brand new Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper. It has almost all of these colors and my pack arrived just a few days ago. I couldn’t wait to cut into it!

I created a simple color fold card, which we will be learning this weekend at Technique Class. I still have a few spaces available if you would like to join us!

I has to sub the Mint Macaron for the Old Olive because I couldn’t quite make the two work together. I really love the all over feel of these colors together. Great choice Carrie!

SSInk Sketch Challenge

It’s Saturday! The weekend. Time for projects around the home, maybe a yard sale or two and of course some stampin’. Today I played along with the sketch challenge over at SSInkspirations. I have to say that this challenge was just that – a challenge for me!

#SSINKCS34

I like my layers neat and orderly – but once I got going on this, I had a lot of fun getting outside my normal box.

SSINKCS34card

For this card I was able to combine two of my most favorite NEW items from the Annual Catalog, Jars of Love and Serene Scenes DSP. I know that I will be using these two products again and again, so I hope you will enjoy seeing lots of them!

TGIF JUNE 2016 new Challenges_2_2-001

and here is my card:

TGIFC59 card

I adore this line image from the returning set In the Meadow. It can be part of a scene using the other stamps or stand alone on it’s own. This card is quick and easy with just a few layers and simple coloring. It will be included in my monthly Q&E class in July. I would love to have you!~

ICS Blog Hop Girls Night Out

ICSBlogHopHello Hoppers and welcome to the May 2016 edition of the Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop! I am so glad that you are here. Tonight is all about the girls! My teen daughter and I are blessed to have some amazing women in our lives and we created this collection together to honor them this weekend for Mother’s Day. Every card was created as a one of a kind piece, because each of them are One of a Kind!

This Designer Series Paper has been such a favorite of mine and I had to just use it up before it retires. I think it is one of the most gorgeous papers we have ever offered. The sponging on the flowers isn’t a new technique but it’s timeless and so easy!

Now it is time to hop over to Deb’s blog and see what she has for us!

April Mystery Challenge – SSInk

Hello again friends! The fine folks over at SSInk have a fantastic mystery challenge for us this month. I hope you will also play along!
 And here is my card:

As you can see I was able to incorporate quite a few elements from the challenge this month. We of course have the wonderful flowers from the Botanical Bloom bundle, we have the 3 colors of Daffodil, Espresso and Mossy Meadow. We also have more than 3 layers, including 1 layer of vellum. With the “for you” sentiment it could also easily be given for Mother’s Day.
Close up of the flower layers.
I spoiled myself with the purchase of the bundles when I found out it would be returning in next years catalog. This is the first time I have used it and I had to restrain myself from cutting out flowers in all the colors. Oh how I am going to love this set!!
You may notice a new watermark on these photos. After much prayer and consideration I will be changing the name of my blog, Instagram, Facebook business page and all online/social media accounts to be something that is a little more in line with my personality and real life. While I am a diva when it comes to my stamps, I am really a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal who loves Jesus and I want that to be my focus.
Be watching for the changes to happen over the next few weeks. I am very excited about the direction my life and business is going!

ICS iambringingbirthdayback

Hello hoppers! I am so glad to have you here! Thanks for hopping along with us at
Inspire, Create, Share.

This month we are celebrating birthdays! A few month’s ago, a Stampin’ Up! employee from the home office named Shannon West decided that she wanted to start sending hand stamped cards in the mail so she did a Facebook shout out for anyone and everyone who wanted to receive a card. As you can imagine, the response was overwhelming and a movement began. The #hashtag
#iambringingbirthdaysback went viral and many demonstrators around the globe have joined in!
I love sending cards in the mail so of course I jumped in as well!
This card was featured at a recent technique class that I host monthly. The technique is called the Spotlight Technique and I am sure you can see why. It is actually quite easy and can work with almost any line image. The possibilities are endless!
Now it’s is time to hop on over to my friend Darla’s blog and see what she has created for us! I am sure you are going to love it!

ICS Blog Hop Welcome Spring!

Welcome hoppers to another month of Inspire, Create, Share! We are so glad you are here!

This month we are celebrating all things Spring! And who doesn’t love this season. New beginnings, new life, and fresh starts! For my project this month I wanted to make something fun and fresh, and a light hearted way to celebrate Easter.
This card and project are great for sharing the message of Easter in a fun way! The large egg could be seen as an egg, or as the rock that covered the door of the tomb of Jesus.

This adorable bakers box could be filled with treats and given to neighbors, friends, teachers or even your church staff!
Thank you so much for hopping with us today! Now it’s time to see what Tina has in store for us.
